Billing Policy

We want you to be satisfied with RefNode AI. If you're not happy with your subscription, we offer refunds within 14 days of your initial purchase — no questions asked.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

You are eligible for a full refund if:

You request a refund within 14 days of your initial subscription payment
You have not previously received a refund for a RefNode AI subscription

Refund requests made after 14 days of initial purchase are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Renewal charges are generally non-refundable, but we will consider requests where a technical issue prevented access to the Service.

2. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at help@tryclaves.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 5 business days.

Because payments are processed by Paddle (our merchant of record), refunds are issued through Paddle back to your original payment method. Processing time after approval is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

3. Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from within the app. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. Your access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period — we do not prorate or refund the remaining days of an active period unless you are within the 14-day window.

4. Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. If you wish to avoid a renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. We will send a reminder email before each renewal.

5. Service Disruptions

If the Service is unavailable for an extended period due to an issue on our end, we will issue a prorated credit for the affected period. Disruptions caused by third-party providers (Groq, OpenRouter, etc.) are outside our control and may not qualify for credits.

6. Free Tier

The free tier carries no charge and is therefore not subject to this policy.

Investment Research

Investment Research access is included with a free RefNode account at $0. Paid RefNode subscriptions do not unlock additional Investment Research features. Investment Research requires your own OpenRouter key. Model and search charges apply to that key. The optional deeper review displays its reserved model-cost estimate before you choose to run it. Failed or stopped calls can still incur provider charges; closing the page does not reverse charges already incurred. These provider charges are separate from a RefNode subscription and are subject to the provider's billing and refund terms.
